Defender aerosol fire extinguishing systems are based on potassium salts an effective, economical and absolutely environmentally friendly extinguishing agent. The solid compound - called compound - is contained in aerosol generators: non-pressurized metal containers equipped with devices that allow the compound to be discharged and the aerosol to be cooled during dispensing. As a result of the energy released by the activator, the solid compound becomes gaseous, giving rise to an aerosol that interrupts the combustion chain, without reducing the oxygen present in the environment. Aerosol extinguishing agents offer a unique method of extinguishing fires by means of very fine dispersion into the environment. |

The action of a potassium aerosol fire extinguishing system is characterized by a chemical and a physical component. Switching off occurs through saturation of the environment.
It manifests itself through the creation ofstable chemical links between potassium radicals and those produced by combustion, which interrupt the chain.
Due to the particular chemical composition of the aerosol, it is able to extinguish fires even if not sprayed directly.
It derives from the tendency of alkaline salts in aerosol form to stratify in the environment, effectively hindering the interactions between fuel and oxidizer.
This allows sufficient inerting of the volume to be protected.
Installed both individually and in multiple combinations, and activated automatically or manually, Defender fire extinguishing systems are ideal for all class A, B and C fires even in the presence of electrical panels or generator sets, as its dry powders are not electrically conductive.
